FOX-OIL BENTONITE CLAY GREASE
Clay greases are based on an inorganic, non-melting
clay-derived thickener technology that enables the
development of finished products that offer excellent
thermal stability in combination with reduced oil
separation properties.
Consequently, lubricating greases based on Clay
technology tend to target more niche applications such
as plain or rolling element bearings where operating
temperatures are continually and excessively high or
where its ability to retain oil is viewed as a benefit at
more ambient temperatures.
More specifically, applications may include soot blower
bearings within industrial exhaust systems, high speed
fan bearings in ovens and furnaces or as a protective
dressing for wire ropes and overhead cables.
Key Performance Aspects
Mining and cement
– Girth and pinion gears on rotary cement kilns
and mills, hoist gears on drag lines
Pulp & paper
– Girth and pinion gears on debarking drums
Sugar cane mills
– Mill roller journal bearings
– Mill roller pinion gears
