Description

Fox-Oil Industrial Gear Oils are a premium quality range of full synthetic gear oils formulated from ester and polyalphaolefin with select additives for ultimate protection of industrial gear drive units operating in arduous and heavy-duty applications of high load, high temperature, extreme pressure and high moisture contamination. With viscosities from ISO 150 through to ISO 1000, this range can cover all variations of high and low gearbox speeds and all load conditions including shock load and vibrations.

Fox-Oil Industrial Gear Oils provide the required anti-friction characteristics in enclosed steel gear sets, bearings and steel/phosphor bronze gear sets, including spur gears, helical, double helical, herringbone and worm type gear sets. These grades are also suitable for lubrication of heavy loaded journals, plain and anti-friction bearings, chain and sprocket drives and slideways. ISO grades 150, 220 and 360 can be used in older automotive and fleet applications where API GL1 & GL2 is specified. Common applications include Industrial, Marine and Mining, reduction gearboxes, direct drives, angle drives, chain drives, gear couplings, hoist/winch gearboxes, screw feeder gearboxes, travel gearboxes, swing gearboxes, turret heads, centralized circulation systems, etc.

Features & Benefits

  • Full synthetic base fluids allow for extended service intervals and optimal uptime.
  • Maximum EP, anti-wear and anti-scuff properties provides long service life with minimal downtime.
  • Very low coefficient of friction reduces electrical energy costs.
  • Formulated to resist the extreme pressure wiping-off tendencies and dry gear face during long shut down periods.
  • Multi metal compatibility including high carbon steel, chromium plating, bronze, copper alloys, nickel, tin, babbitt etc.
  • Very good rust and corrosion protection against moisture contamination.
  • Provides rapid demulsibility to quickly separate water ingress.
  • High temperature oxidation resistance prevents viscosity thickening and gum / varnish build up.
